ABOUT ME

My name is Melanie and I'm 26 years old. I was born in Massachusetts, also lived in North Carolina, and now reside in Georgia. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2021 with degrees in Economics and Global Studies, as well as a minor in Spanish. I currently work full-time remotely as a financial analyst.

I first learned to crochet back in elementary school but never took it seriously; I only really knew the basic motions. Since then, I've always wanted to learn how to make amigurumi because it was so inspiring to see people create these adorable plushies just with yarn! After graduating and exploring how to fill up my time outside of my full-time job, I decided to pick up crocheting again with old yarn and hooks that had been sitting in my closet for 10+ years, and I made my very first octopus. I practiced with more patterns and decided to start an online business in October 2021 to share my creations with the rest of the world! My main goal is to make people happy, one plushie at a time. And it all started with just watching YouTube tutorials, so if I can do it, anyone else can too!

When I'm not crocheting, you can find me working on other crafts, practicing piano, playing games, binge-watching shows, taking care of my bunnies and corgi, or slowly traveling the world :')
